Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in submitting a recipe for Hometown Food Company (as used herein “we,” “us,” or “our” or “Hometown Food”) for a chance to be featured in our White Lily Community Cookbook (the “Cookbook”). Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before submitting your recipe to be considered for inclusion in our Cookbook. These terms and conditions govern the submission and use of the recipe (forming the “Agreement”). By submitting your recipe, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

Ownership: By submitting your recipe, you represent and warrant that you are the original creator of the recipe and that you hold all necessary rights, including copyright, to grant us permission to use the recipe in our Cookbook and as otherwise permitted under this Agreement. You represent and warrant that the recipe does not infringe upon, misappropriate, or otherwise violate the intellectual property rights of any third party and does not contain any confidential information.

License: You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, adapt, and perform the recipe in any manner or media now known or hereafter devised, including but not limited to, publishing the recipe in the Cookbook and on our website, social media platforms, or any other channels determined by us.

Modifications: We may, at our discretion, make modifications to your recipe to ensure consistency, clarity, or to adapt it for publication in the Cookbook.

Credits: You grant us the right to use your name, or any other identifying information provided by you, in connection with the recipe and our use thereof. We will provide appropriate attribution to you as the recipe creator within the Cookbook. This may include your name and any other relevant information provided by you. We reserve the right to determine the exact form and placement of the attribution.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Hometown Food Company, its affiliates, employees, and agents, from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to any infringement, misappropriation, or other violation of intellectual property rights, or any other rights, resulting from our use of the submitted recipe.

Publication Decision: The decision to include or exclude your recipe in the Cookbook is solely at our discretion. We are not obligated to provide any reasons for acceptance or rejection of your submission.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Illinois. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Illinois.

By submitting your recipe, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
